IN LOVING MEMORY OF
BREEZY MEADOWS CABELA

In 2005 we were introduced to the terrier world by our dear friends, Denise Williams and Bree Beery at the Del Sol Wags for Wishes Trial in Del Mar, CA. Denise had two terriers and we began to learn as much as possible about these little dogs. Denise told us that her friend Bree had a litter on the ground. At the Wags for Wishes Trial, Denise introduced us to Bree. We made an appointment to visit Bree at her home and meet the pups.  Bree let the pups out of the kitchen. They all came running in the living room looking for toys, except one. She ran right up to us and began to beg for our attention. I knew at this point, she was coming home with us at four months of age. A month later, we went back to Bree’s to take home our new baby. All the families were there to pick up their new family members. Bree, once again let the pups out of the kitchen and Cablea came running to us, like she knew we were her new family. At this moment, she captured our hearts and we devoted a great part of our lives to her and began learning more about the breed.

Soon after we attended our first trial at the SCJRTC Fall Brawl. During that weekend, Cabela won puppy racing and reserve in conformation. We were hooked. Cabela had us going to trials to Northern California, Arizona, Nevada and Connecticut where she won several reserve and champion racing events and champion GTG events. We soon learned that Cabela did not like the conformation ring, and would fight us every time we took her in.   We decided to stick to her passions of racing and GTG.

In January of 2008, we planned to take Cabela to Texas to hunt with Lupe Saldivar. But she never made it. On the morning of January 16, 2008 we lost our beloved Cabela. Our hearts were broken. Cabela meant the world to us and we miss her dearly. Without her, we would have never gotten involved with the SCJRTC or the JRTCA. We have her to thank for all the wonderful people we have met and the friendships she helped us build. She will always be missed, always be loved and in our hearts.
